Our vision is to transform lives through spreading inspiration, love, joy, connection and optimal health with the teachings of yoga.

We offer a holistic and individualised approach addressing both the physical and philosophical practices of yoga, enabling a greater connection to the potential that you are! Yoga Sita provides an encouraging and welcoming environment for all ages and levels of experience in the styles of Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative Yoga in our Booragoon based studio.

Ease Breathe Birth

Sunday 25 March | 11.00am – 2.00pm

Join Yoga Sita teacher and qualified midwife Elise Dussans for a beautiful workshop for pregnant women. In this 3 hour workshop Elise’s specific focus will be providing tools to connect with your baby and how to be present during your pregnancy, labour and fourth trimester.

Elise’s combined experience and qualifications as a nurturing pre and post natal yoga teacher as well as her many years practicing as a midwife give her an amazing toolkit of knowledge to assist you during this wonderful but also challenging and new time of life.

Your experience will include:
One hour of discussion and theory
30 minutes break to enjoy snacks and tea where you will have the opportunity to connect to other women going through the same life experience as you.
75 minutes of yoga, breath work and meditation practice relevant to topics discussed.

This workshop is suitable for woman at any stage of their pregnancy from those with no yoga experience to those with a regular practice.

Sacred Flow

One Friday evening per month. Beginning Friday 23 March!

6.00pm – 7.15pm | with Alex

A special class for women to undertake an exploration of the elements through creative yoga, free movement, music, dance and meditation. Alex will guide you through a different element each month to tap in to the vast range of potential we hold within our feminine energy.

Alex is extremely passionate about the benefits of yoga, free dance, meditation and embodiment practices for women. With years of experience sharing these practices indivdually she is combining their gifts to create Sacred Flow.

Sacred Flow will provide you with a safe container to move out of the mind and in to the body to move, flow and feel, guiding you to a place of inner freedom, power, ease and connection.

No experience required! New and current members welcome.
Normal class price: $23 or with your Yoga Sita class package.

Creating Space Workshop

Saturday 7 April | 10.00am – 1.00pm

How would it feel to have more space in your physical body? More space in your mind? More space in you life? More space in your heart? Our modern lifestyle and culture does not allow a lot of room for space in our lives. Our lives seem to be getting busier and busier and this is translating in to a huge increase in physical tension, illness, anxiety, stress and depression. There seems to be less room for joy, ease, contentment, fun and freedom in body and mind.
 
How would it feel to learn and focus on practices that create space in your body, ease in your mind and openness in your heart? Tim and Alex will take you through a series of physical, meditative and philosophical teachings and practices to create more space literally and figuratively in your being.
 
In the first half of the Workshop Tim will teach us how creating space in our joints instantly improves flexibility and strength. You will be given a basic dynamic joint mobility sequence that you can add to your home practice.
 
Tim’s vast experience as an exercise therapist and yoga teacher combined with Alexandra’s experience as a yoga, meditation and embodiment teacher make a strong, knowledgable and passionate team.
 
In the second half of the workshop Alex will guide you through a yoga flow and meditation that focuses on creating space in other areas of your life.

For ages 5 – 10 years old.

Children derive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically enhancing flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, benefiting concentration and enhancing their ability to experience mindfulness and relaxation. Taught by Yoga Sita teacher Simone who has been working with children for over 10 years in movement based classes.

Women’s Temple Night | Sacred Self Care

A mystic evening of ritual to nurture inner connection, self love and either establish or enhance a personal self care practice.

Alexandra began practicing yoga as a teenager over 13 years ago to assist with her own back issues and soon realised the vast benefits yoga has on the body as well as mental and emotional health. Alex has completed various trainings including a Bachelor of Exercise and Health Science, Diploma in Dance, Yoga teacher training in the ISHTA lineage with Tamara Yoga, various yoga trainings with Laughing Lotus NYC and emotional and energetic bodywork training with Eliyah School of the Tantric Feminine Arts. The impact these teachings and practices have had on her life makes Alexandra extremely passionate about sharing them with the world in a nurturing, compassionate and gentle way. Creating Yoga Sita to share the magic of yoga with others is her privilege and absolute joy.
